An Overview
Nestlé Waters North America recognizes that benefits packages play a large role in your evaluation of a company as a candidate and potential employee. In this section we’ve provided a summary of the major benefits categories that we offer. We’ll provide detailed information about specific benefit details to you during the recruitment and interview process.
Nestlé's Health Care Philosophy: "Nestlé provides a comprehensive health and welfare benefits program. We expect employees to be involved in sharing the day-to-day cost of health care services and to take responsibility for their health and the health of their families."
Health Benefits
As a new employee, you’ll be eligible for benefits the first of the month following your first 3 months of continuous employment.
Medical coverage
We offer a comprehensive medical plan that includes wellness visits, in- and outpatient coverage, and mental health support. Coverage includes an employee contribution, an individual and family deductible, and nominal co-payments.
Vision coverage
Our vision plan covers eye exams, lenses and frames.
Dental Coverage
Our dental coverage includes typical dental services and provides coverage for you and your dependents.
Prescription Drug Plans
We offer employees a range of options for purchasing prescription drugs, including generic, listed brand name, and non-listed brand name drugs. Each carries different co-pay depending on the medication and the price difference between the generic and brand name costs. You have the option of filling your prescriptions both at retail pharmacies and through mail order programs. Your co-payment will vary depending on the method you choose to fill your prescriptions.
Life Insurance
We provide a base coverage package for employees with a generous maximum cap at no cost to you. Employees can purchase supplemental life insurance in addition to what we provide.
Accidental Death and Dismemberment
As with our life insurance benefit, we provide base coverage for accidental death and dismemberment for employees with a generous maximum cap at no cost to you. Employees can purchase supplemental coverage in addition to what we provide.
Disability
We provide both short- and long-term disability benefits to our employees. Employees are required to purchase the long-term disability insurance in order to receive the short-term disability.
Health Care/Dependent Day Care Reimbursement Accounts
Employees can set aside pre-tax income for reimbursement of applicable daycare and health care expenses not otherwise covered by insurance.
Health Management Program
Health Works is a confidential program that will include information, resources and support to help you take charge of your health and your health care costs.
Some of the program features include a telephone help line staffed by trained nurses, a Web site you can use to research symptoms and health conditions and get the most up-to-date news on nutrition, health and wellness, and a health questionnaire designed to measure your current health-related habits and give you a complete picture of your health.
We ask employees to become involved in sharing the day-to-day responsibility of health care services, especially for their health and their families’ health.
Life Benefits
Sick Days
We provide sick days per calendar year and an amount is pro-rated for the first year depending on the hire date.
Holidays
We provide 10 holidays each calendar year. Specific holidays depend on location.
Vacation
After the completion of one full year, we provide vacation. Your vacation amount will increase after 5 years of service.
Financial Benefits
Profit Sharing and 401(k) Plans
Full-time employees can contribute up to 15% of their base salary. Nestlé Waters North America then matches that contribution at a determined percentage each year. The plan includes various investment options and 24-hour account access. The plan also provides rollover options. You are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan immediately upon hire.
Eligibility for profit sharing begins the 1st of the month after three months of continuous employment, and may include company contribution to your 401(k) savings account.
