Bilingual Representative

On joining Nestlé Waters North America

Edna Ramos has always enjoyed working with and helping people. Fluent in English, Spanish and French, Edna joined Nestlé Waters North America to fill in as a Bilingual Representative in July 2000. She joined us full time shortly thereafter. She notes, "I chose to work here because I had heard a lot of great things about the company as well as the environment."

On the satisfaction she receives from her role

Edna continues to enjoy her role working with and helping people on a daily basis. She notes that she feels like she "is at home with her family" in the call center when she’s taking care of customers’ needs, placing their orders, and solving their problems. On that note, she says that her "heart fills with joy when she knows she solved the customer’s problem" and knows that the customer won’t need to call back with the same issue.

In addition, Edna says, "This organization is very different than my previous job. The environment in the call center is much more positive than the call center I used to work in. I get a chance to learn a lot of new things and immediately apply them to the job. This is very satisfying."

On adding value

She loves to go the extra mile, and takes pride in her competitiveness relative to up selling, a strategy that she finds enjoyable and fun. "It’s natural [for me]!" she adds.
